Vianney Harakandi Kakuze is my name.
I was born 7 August, 1965. I am in charge of tourist reservations at the provincial office of the ICCN, in Goma.
My wife Antoinette Kasoki looks after my three children in Rutchuru. In 1989, I joined the ICCN as a tax collector. That was my first step in the field of conservation. Some years later I studied in Mweka, Tanzania at the College of African Wildlife Management. On my return to this country I carried on with my work and was assigned to Rwindi where I was an assistant on the monitoring programme. Conservation has been my life. I don’t know if I could live or work in another field.
